The committee's purpose is to assist the chapter membership in expanding their knowledge and comfort level with Information Technology as well as exposing them to new techniques to accomplish their tasks or enhance their opportunities for revenue generation and client assistance. This is achieved by conducting educational conferences and technical sessions throughout the year. These sessions include but are not limited to:

· Operating Systems

· Applications

· Communication (including portals and remote access)

· Networks (wired and wireless)

· Security

· Customization Tools

· Peripherals

In addition, the committee is looking to expand into the Tech Assurance area that is comprised of information assurance professionals with interests in technology risk management and attestation services. This would cover areas of current and anticipated technology, technology assurance considerations, applicability, cost, risk signals, case studies and regulatory matters related to attestation and reporting.
