DEPARTMENT: Moynihan Scholarship Fund (MSF)

POSITION: MSF Program Specialist

Primary Purpose of Position:

This position is responsible for supporting the efforts of the Moynihan Scholarship Fund, including the administration of the Moynihan Scholarship Fund (MSF) scholarship and Career Opportunities in the Accounting Profession programs, under the direction of the Membership Director. The Program Specialist will work to support the MSF and coordinate program management of MSF activities and outreach.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Program Management:

o Provide support to the MSF with the following:

  • Execution of scholarship and accounting mini summer camp programs
  • Outreach to support participant recruitment to the COAP program and boost scholarship applications
  • Utilize database to extract related reports
  • Data entry and analysis
  • Inventory MSF marketing supplies
  • Serve as staff liaison for designated committees
  • Program and Event Logistics:

o Provide support to the MSF with the following:

  • Excellence in Accounting and COAP Scholarships
  • Other MSF activities and initiatives
  • Coordinate and execute planned MSF promotion at chapter, Society and MSF events
  • Utilize project management software to track and monitor project progress
  • Other duties as assigned by Membership Director


The Program Specialist is expected to coordinate MSF projects that relate to MSF and COAP programs, initiatives and events, under the supervision of the Membership Director.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of three years’ relevant experience.
  • Requires strong project, time management and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills, determine priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience with database management software i.e. Aptify,, iMis, NetSuite, etc.
  • Experience with project management software i.e. BaseCamp, Asana,, etc.
  • Experience with data analytics software, i.e. Sisense, Tableau, Power BI, etc.
  • Experience with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to prioritize and follow through effectively.

All candidates should reside in the Tri-State area and within commuting distance to 14 Wall Street in Manhattan.

This is a non-exempt position and the salary range is $56,500-$67,000 with a competitive 401(k).
