POSITION: Marketing Specialist

Primary Purpose

Under the direction of the Marketing Director, the Marketing Specialist will contribute to the growth of our Continuing Professional Education (CPE) sales, memberships, and Society programs. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in marketing tools and strategies and a willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist in Developing Marketing Strategies: Collaborate with the Marketing Director to create and implement marketing plans aimed at promoting our CPE offerings and membership benefits.

2. Support Sales Growth Initiatives: Contribute to initiatives aimed at increasing CPE sales and membership subscriptions, leveraging data-driven insights and best practices.

3. Content Creation and Distribution: Assist in the development of content to showcase the value of our educational programs and membership benefits across various channels, including social media, email marketing, website, and digital advertising platforms.

4. Utilize Marketing Tools and Platforms: Utilize marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, social media management tools, and other relevant platforms to support campaign execution and optimization.

5. Conduct Market Research: Assist in conducting market research to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs, providing valuable insights to inform marketing strategies.

6. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with colleagues in communications, membership, FAE and data management, as well as our outsourced marketing partner, to ensure alignment of marketing efforts with organizational goals and objectives.

7. Assist with Performance Tracking and Reporting: Support the monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and contribute to the generation of regular reports to communicate results and recommendations for optimization.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing, with exposure to various marketing tactics and strategies.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for continuous learning and growth.
  • Working knowledge of the latest marketing related tools and platforms, including:

o Marketing Automation Platforms

o Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Systems

o Social Media Management Tools

o Content Management Systems (CMS)

o Email Marketing Platforms

o Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Tools

o Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Advertising Platforms

o Analytics and Reporting Tools

o Graphic Design and Visual Content Creation Tools

o Video Marketing Platforms

o Marketing Project Management & Collaboration Tools

All candidates should reside in the tri-state area and within commuting distance to 200 Madison Avenue in Manhattan.

This is a non-exempt position with a salary range of $61,800 - $74,160, with a competitive 401(k).
